Portfolio Websites

This is a great site for a graphic designer’s website portfolio. The portfolio loaded quickly and it was very easy to navigate. The illustrations portray as a professional. The bright colors are eye catching and would grab a professionals attention. One link she provided was a ‘Portfolio- My Work’ link, which is smart.

This is also a website portfolio for a designer. His name is Kevin Lucas and he describes himself immediately on the first page by welcoming viewers. One thing I liked about his portfolio is almost everything on his site is on the very first page. A viewer never has to navigate away from the main page.

This website portfolio is so entertaining! There is so much to explore.

My goal for my mockup website portfolio is a professional but also entertaining look.

Video Process

This was by far my favorite project we’ve done so far! I made a promotional video for a fictional worship band called the ‘Mackenzie Jo Worship Band.’ My litte sister really does lead worship at Eagle Heights Baptist Church on Wednesday nights in Stillwater, but they aren’t neccesarily a band. They don’t really make albums or go on tour but they enjoy making music together. I went to the church on a Wednesday night and videoed the kids practicing before church one night. I took probably 30 minutes of video so it was a long process to cut the video down to the shots I wanted to use for the project. Once I found the perfect shots, the project was easy and fun to finish! I’d like to make more videos in the future. I had a lot of fun being so creative!

Rihanna and Sugarland?

The American Country Music Awards were on tonight and country music joined a popular trend going on in the entertainment industry right now. This is a trend that I love. Musical artists from very different genres in the industry are coming together and making new music.. together. In the past month, Justin Bieber released a song called ‘That Could Be Me’ with Rascal Flatts that has been pretty popular and tonight Rihanna joined with Sugarland for a duet. Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland took the stage with Rihanna and they sang Rihanna’s original song called ‘California King Bed.’ Take a look.
